wealhtheow It's irresistibly dancey, like the best combination of synth pop, electro, melodic goth, and a dash of 80s fantasy movie soundtracks. There's a terrific driving beat to a lot of the tracks that immediately energizes me, while others, like "Cold Rain," almost fill my eyes with tears. Lorelei's voice is just incredible, both well controlled but also very emotional. Great mixes and remixes too! Absolutely my favorite album of the year. Favorite track: Cold Rain.

Distortion Productions is happy to welcome Chicago's Lorelei Dreaming to their roster.

The brainchild of Lorelei (Laura Bienz), the mini album Future Fables is a dark electronic opus that will appeal to the dancefloor of the goth clubs that the band frequently plays. Having shared the stage with luminaries like Velvet Acid Christ, Covenant, Stabbing Westward and The Birthday Massacre and having collaborated with St. Griselda and Angelspit, Lorelei Dreaming has really made a name for themselves in the goth industrial scene.

Known for their energetic, artistic and in your face performances, Lorelei has been performing songs from Future Fables to eager audiences since before the coronavirus pandemic. From the cerebral, sexy tone of "Of Stars" to the slamming "Sol Invictus", this album is a must have for any dark electronic music fan. As an added bonus, several remixes were contributed to Future Fables by all women-led dark electronic acts from across the USA and Canada including Kanga, Eva X, Fires and more.
